PESHAWAR: The prime minister’s fee reimbursement scheme for students of less developed areas will officially be launched in Peshawar on Monday.
In a meeting held in Islamabad and presided by chairperson of the prime minister’s youth programme Maryam Nawaz Sharif, it was decided that the chairperson of the programme will hand over 100 percent fee reimbursement cheques to the students of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA undertaking MA, MSc, MS, M Phil or PhD courses from the recognized public sector universities.
The meeting was informed that out of the total 30,000 post graduate students hailing from less developed areas, more than 6,000 post graduate students belonging to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA, will benefit from the scheme.
The meeting also approved the schedule for reimbursement of 100 percent educational expenses to the students hailing from Southern Punjab, Interior Sindh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan before the end of this month.
