ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) would organize a condolence reference in Islamabad to pay tribute to founder of Ajoka Theatre Madeeha Gohar on May 3.

Renowned writers, actors, directors and activists including Kishwar Naheed, Shahid Mehmood Nadeem, Kanwal Naseer, Faryal Gohar, Indu Mitha Tahira Abdullah, Dr. Fozia Saeed, Zaheer Bhatti, Dr. Inamul Haq Jawed Nargis Rasheed and Jamal Shah will open their heart on the life of Madeeha Gohar and her role for promotion of serious theatre and human dignity at home and abroad.PNCA to pay tribute to Madeeha Gohar on Thursday

The 62-year-old Madeeha Gohar died of cancer in Lahore on April 24, 2018.

Madeeha Gohar also worked for women rights and had formed “Ajoka Theatre” to present stage dramas aimed to create awareness among the women folk.
