KARACHI: A police officer was shot dead by unknown gunmen in SITE area of Karachi on Tuesday, media reports said.
The reports citing Deputy Inspector General West Javed Alam Odho said that police inspector Bahauddin Babar was on his way to his office as he reached near Bab-i-Khyber gate in Metroville area of Karachi’s SITE area, unknown gunmen opened fire on his vehicle and fled away.
Babar, who was currently stationed at the anti-violent crime cell (AVCC), received five bullets and died on the spot, reports added.
