ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal Tuesday said politics of ballot would only prevail in the country as there was no room for agitators.
Presenting the performance report of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) before the Central Executive Committee meeting, he said “If someone thinks that he will do politics on the basis of few thousand people, it will not happen.”
He said people had rejected the politics of sit-ins and succeeded the PML-N candidates in all bye-elections, Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK polls.
The PML-N, he said, believed in making the country stronger by vibrating its economy and promoting democratic norms.
He said the PML-N government brought the biggest-ever investment in energy sector and allocated Rs 215 billion for higher education during the last three years.
The minister said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif effectively highlighted the Kashmir issue in sessions of the United Nations General Assembly.
He said PML-N President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was taking forward the party in line with the golden principles of founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for welfare of the common man.
Ahsan Iqbal said it was the PML-N that showed the door to dictator and started a new era of democracy in the country.
