ISLAMABAD: Senators of PPP‚ MQM and ANP have said they will resist all conspiracies aimed at restraining them from contesting polls in the upcoming general election.
Talking to newsmen in Islamabad‚ MQM Senator Babar Khan Ghauri urged the people to foil the conspiracies by coming out on May 11 to cast votes.
He warned that people will not accept election results if the three progressive parties were not provided a level playing field.
PPP Senators Saeed Ghani claimed it was clear which parties were with Taliban and which were against them.
To a question‚ he claimed that terrorists were dictating their agenda. He said that three liberal parties are being restrained from contesting election. However‚ he said‚ they will contest the polls at any cost for the sake of democracy and the country.
ANP’s Senator Shahi Syed claimed that terrorists had hijacked the May 11 elections and it seemed they were conducting them.
