LAHORE, Pakistan: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Central Punjab has announced to postpone all political activities including the annual gathering of April 4 to pay tribute to Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto for next three weeks in the wake of Coronavirus Outbreak.
Under the directive of the Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the President PPP Central Punjab Qamar Zaman Kaira said that all political activities, gatherings, meetings, lunches, dinners, etc have been suspended with immediate effect for next three weeks.
Issuing guidelines, Qamar Zaman Kaira directed all PPP organizations of the Central Punjab to ensure that the directives are implemented in the letter and spirit. He also asked all presidents and general secretaries of mother organizations and allied wings to issue the same directions to their fellow organizations.
Meanwhile, 237 Coronavirus Cases have been confirmed across the Country. Sindh remains the most affected province with 172 Cases followed by Punjab wherein 26 people have been tested positive. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have witnessed 16 Cases each whereas 5 and 2 persons respectively in Gilgit Baltistan and the Federal Capital Islamabad have been diagnosed with Coronavirus Symptoms.
