ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will observe black day on Friday to mark the dismissal of its government in a military coup in 1977.
In a message on the occasion‚ PPP Chief Patron Bilawal Bhutto Zardari criticised the overthrow of democratically elected government of late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto by then Army Chief General Ziaul Haq.
Bilawal paid great homage to late Bhutto for his visionary leadership.
In his message‚ President Asif Ali Zardari said people’s democratic ethos cannot be suppressed through force.
The President said the constitution has been largely restored and a historic democratic transition has taken place in Pakistan.
