MG (Morris Garages) is a British automotive marque founded by Cecil Kimber in the 1920s, and MG Car Company Limited was the British sports car manufacturer that made the marque famous. Best known for its open two-seater sports cars, MG also produced saloons and coupés, with engines up to three liters in size. Its fans around the world still remember the company for its open two-seater sporty vehicles.
Recently MG announced that it will launch the MG HS Crossover SUV in Pakistan. In Pakistan’s non-welcoming automobile market where only three brands dominate but this monopoly took a twist when KIA and Hyundai, South Korean manufacturers, established their footing in the local market.
The recent launch of Hyundai Tucson and before this KIA’s Sportage received immense attraction from the locals disappointed by years of monopoly of the three giants (Toyota, Honda, and Suzuki) which have more or less fell short of customer’s expectations and hence satisfaction with their products.
Now finally the MG HS crossover SUV is finally available for pre-booking in Pakistan. The company has set a price of Rs. 5,535,000 for the luxurious crossover SUV.
The initial booking price will be Rs 2 million and the vehicle will be delivered to customers by December 2020.

According to specs, the SUV has two common engine options – the 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that makes 169 horsepower, and a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that generates 231 horsepower. Both the engines can be mated to a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed DCT, or a 7-speed sportstronic DCT gearbox. Pakistani is expected to get the 1.5-liter engine with automatic transmission.
