ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Dr. Arif Alvi on Wednesday distribution ration among Afghan refugees in Islamabad in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
While addressing the Ceremony, the president said Pakistan wanted early and honorable repatriation of Afghan refugees.
The president said Pakistan kept its doors open for Afghan brethren who had been facing war oppression for several decades. He said Pakistan wanted early and durable peace in Afghanistan.
Dr. Arif Alvi said they provided the same facilities and cooperation to Afghan refugees extended to their own citizens to protect them from Coronavirus.
President Arif Alvi said Islam taught them compassion and good feelings for fellow Muslims and in the same spirit Pakistan and Turkey had been hosting Afghan and Syrian refugees on their respective lands.
The president also congratulated happy Eid to Afghan refugees and prayed for tranquility in Afghanistan and their repatriation to their homes.
