ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Dr Arif Alvi will address the Joint Session of the Parliament in Islamabad on Thursday, marking the advent of new Parliamentary Year.
The Session will be held at 4:00 pm in the Parliament House, Islamabad.

It will be Arif Alvi’s first address to the Parliament after he assumed the Office of the President on September 9, replacing Mamnoon Hussain who had relinquished the Office a day before following his five-year term as President of Pakistan.

Sources said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led federal government will present amendments in the Federal Budget 2018-19 with the name of “Money Bill” in the National Assembly on Friday.
Meanwhile, the Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser and the Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Mushtaq Ghani held a meeting with President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi in Islamabad today.
