ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday emphasized the need for collective efforts to eliminate terrorism and extremism.
Talking to the Secretary General of Muslim World League Dr. Muhammad Bin Abdul Karim Al-Essa in Islamabad on Monday, the president said that all Muslims of the world are affected by the terrorism and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and other organizations should take bold measures to eradicate this menace.
The president said that the government of Pakistan is effectively working to eliminate the terrorism by implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) across the country. He said that terrorism is an international issue and it would only be resolved with united and bold joint efforts.
President Mamnoon said that the allegations of terror activities on so called Islamic organizations have affected the soft image of Muslims in the world and the Muslims are facing difficulties across the world.
Mamnoon Hussain said that the Muslims of Kashmir and Palestine are facing atrocities and human right violations and OIC should focus on these issues.
In his remarks, Dr. Muhammad Bin Abdul Karim Al-Essa appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in war against terrorism and said that the world including Muslim countries should get benefits from Pakistan’s experience in this regard.
