ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority (IHRA) has set the standard rate for conducting COVID-19 tests by Private Laboratories and Hospitals in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
All Private Hospital, Laboratories/Collection Center have been directed to conduct RT-PCR for COVID-19 Tests at the following rates;
- Rs 5,000 per test (Using Roche/Abbot/Qiagen kits)
- Rs 3,500 per test (Using all Kits other than above mentioned three)
Besides, every Laboratory conducting the RT-PCT has been directed to mention; (1) Machine used during the test (extractor and RT-PCT), (2) Reagent/Kits with their certification, and (3) Individual batch number; in its report.
It has been stated that all Private Hospitals, Laboratories/Collection Centers shall be inspected for compliance by the IHRA Inspection Teams to elucidate the status of compliance with the above directives and healthcare services standard requirements of COVID-19.
If any Private Hospital, Laboratory/Collection Center is found non-compliant with the requirements, it shall be penalized in accordance with the IHR Act 2018 and Rules regulations and may face de-registrations, sealing the premises or fine and/or imprisonment, etc.
