ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated Hakla-Dera Ismail Khan Motorway at a Ceremony in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The 293-kilometer Hakla-Dera Ismail Khan Motorway is an important component of the western route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

On the motorway, 11 interchanges, 36 bridges, 33 flyovers, and 119 underpasses have been constructed.
The areas of Dera Ismail Khan, North Punjab, South Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan will emerge as a business hub as a result of the motorway which will also facilitate transportation of agriculture products to big markets.
In his remarks whilst inaugurating the motorway, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the completion of the first phase of the western route under the CPEC project will accrue many benefits and ensure economic development in the backward areas.
The prime minister said that connecting the tribal areas and Balochistan with road infrastructure will bring a revolution in the Country and ensure a bright future.
Imran Khan vowed to improve connectivity on the western side in order to uplift the backward and neglected areas of the Country.
