ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Kate Middleton on Tuesday met President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad.
In the meeting held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad, the Royal Couple was accompanied by the British High Commissioner to Pakistan Mr. Thomas Drew, the Principal Private Secretary to the Duke Mr. Simon Case, and the Communications Secretary to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Mr. Christian Jones.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge called on the President here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr Islamabad today.

The President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi and the First Lady Mrs Samina Alvi welcomed the Royal Couple.
The president commended the visiting dignitaries for their endeavors to raise awareness about mental health, climate change, and poverty alleviation.
The Duke of Cambridge thanked the president for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and his entourage.
The Royal Couple appreciated the initiatives undertaken by the government of Pakistan to combat climate change and to alleviate poverty.
Later the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also visited the Prime Minister House, and held a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are on a five-day visit to Pakistan, during which they would visit Islamabad, Lahore and the Northern areas of Pakistan.
