PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said promotion of education in Federal Administered Tribal Area (FATA) was the top most priority of the government as bright future for the country could only be ensured by providing modern education facilities to youth.
He expressed these views while presiding over a high-level meeting, regarding updates on ongoing construction of educational institution in FATA at governor house in Peshawar on Thursday.
A detailed briefing was also given to the governor from the officials of FATA secretariat. Besides, Additional Chief Secretary FATA, Fida Wazir, Principal Secretary to Governor, Secretary Social Sector Department FATA, Secretary P&D FATA and other relevant officials also attended the meeting.
He said education was an effective weapon for overcoming problems and poverty, adding no negligence and laxity would be tolerated in the programs of promotion of education.
He directed that the concerned officials should work hard for furthering the projects speedily. The governor said our youth was the asset of our Nation and urged the officials concerned to devote their efforts and resources to the noble cause of imparting quality education to the young generation in line with modern trends in FATA.

He said this region was blessed with a vast treasure of talented youth who need to be properly trained and guided. He directed that ghost schools and teachers should be located and strict action would be taken against them.
