NEW YORK: The Coalition against Fascism in India (CAFI) plans to hold a protest at New York’s Times Square on Wednesday against the naked display of fascism against Muslims in Hindu-majority Country especially in the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir wherein millions of people have been subjected to the worst form of oppression for the last one year.
The ‘Times Square Protest’ will be held at NASDAQ in Times Square from 06:30 pm to 09:00 pm.
Earlier on Monday, just ahead of August 5 which marks the one year of an unprecedented barbarism on innocent Kashmiris by India’s Hindutva regime, large digital billboards at New York’s Times Square lit up with slogans denouncing India’s unilateral illegal actions in Occupied Kashmir.
The messages lit up on billboards read “Kashmir Siege Day”, “Kashmiri Lives Matter” and “Kashmiris Want Freedom”.
Meanwhile, a top advertising Company ‘Branded Cities’ has refused to run digital advertisements for right-wing Hindu groups planning to display images of Lord Ram and 3D pictures of the upcoming Ram Temple in India’s Ayodhya City on digital billboards in Times Square.
The Company also reassured that Branded Cities and NASDAQ oppose the demolition of the Babari Mosque in Ayodhya and will never allow any supremacist groups to run their advertisements.
