LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) kicked off the Women Resource Center & Incubator (WRC&I) in Lahore on July 30.

It’s solely for women to support and set up their businesses, enhance their entrepreneurship skills and overcome the challenges they are facing in the current situation with the recent pandemic.

In the Introductory Season Ceremony, the Executive Director HomeNet Pakistan Ms. Ume Laila Azhar delivered her lecture as the Chief Guest, saying that continuous struggle will explore new ideas and women entrepreneurs will create successful business models with the help and guidance of PSIC’s Recourse Center & Incubation.

The Project Director Mr. Sohaib Zafar and the representative of Women Chamber Dr. Falahat Imran highlighted about efforts and contributions for the execution of the project. They also shared about facilities and visiting faculty of WRC&I.

The Director C&CI Yawar Mehdi thanked the participants on behalf of the Managing Director Mr. Muhammad Tahir and said that almost all Incubation Centers in the Country are delivering at their level best an important role for motivating women, educating and inculcating an entrepreneurial culture among students, and encouraging them to be job providers instead of job seekers, which we require for economic development.

Yawar Mehdi said that these Incubation Resource Centers will improve the levels of women entrepreneurship, business ideas, and skills which plays a vital role in the development.

The Director C&CI further said that no doubt entrepreneurs are key players in economic growth. He added that the PSIC Women Incubation Center will also help and facilitate for loans to women for new business under Punjab Rozgar Scheme.
