Government of PakistanPTI government faces no threat from opposition: Dr Firdous

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government faces no threat from the opposition.

In a tweet on Wednesday on the All Parties Conference (APC) of the opposition, Dr Firdous said that the outcome of this ploy of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will not be different than that of his election adventure.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman should devote his next four years in service of the religion following the failure of the APC.

The Joint Opposition will meet today in Islamabad to devise a strategy to impede the passing of federal budget 2019-20.

The All Parties Conference was summoned by the JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and in which a 10-member delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led Shahbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz will participate.

A five-member Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) delegation will also participate in the APC; however, the participating of its Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be decided in the meeting of the party’s Parliamentary leaders.

The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai, the Awami National Party (ANP) President Asfandyar Wali Khan, the Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leaders have also been invited to attend the meeting.

The Balochistan National Party Mengal (BNP-M) was also extended an invitation; however, it decided not to attend the APC.
