ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday hurled startling allegations against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) saying that the ruling party received funding from India and Israel.
In her address outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in Islamabad wherein the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) staged a protest against the ECP’s alleged reluctance to expedite the Foreign Funding Case against PTI, Maryam Nawaz alleged that money from India and Israel flowed into the accounts of Imran Khan’s employees through hundi.
Maryam Nawaz also alleged that from Israel, Barry C. Schneps and the Member of India’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Inder Dosanjh secretly transacted the money into the accounts.
The PML-N leader further accused Prime Minister Imran Khan of operating 23 bank accounts but, according to her, he concealed it from the ECP.

“When you receive funds from BJP members, then why would not pray for Modi to win the elections]? Why would Kashmir not be thrown in Modi’s lap then? When you take money from someone, you have to do their bidding,” Maryam alleged.
In addition, he alleged that the Scrutiny Committee refused to unveil the facts under the pressure exerted by Imran Khan.
“Who (Imran Khan) used to call us thief himself turned out to be the biggest thief”, she said.
Maryam Nawaz also alleged that the Scrutiny Committee has been directed by higher-ups to be lenient on Imran Khan. She said that it’s been three years now but the Scrutiny Committee has still been carrying out the probe against PTI.
While addressing the protest participants, the PDM Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman declared the incumbent government illegal and announced to continue the anti-government movement till its ouster.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman termed the anti-government movement a “Jihad’ as per the Sharia. He said that they won’t retreat and their struggle against corrupt rulers will continue unabated.
