ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is committed to introduce electoral reforms to ensure transparency in elections.
Talking to the media along with the Parliamentary Secretary on Railways Farrukh Habib and the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Youth Affairs Usman Dar in Islamabad on Tuesday, Fawad Chaudhry said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has been making efforts to bring transparency in elections.
Fawad Chaudhry said that all possible measures will be taken to ensure transparency in elections.
In his remarks, Usman Dar said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) wants to make the by-election in the NA-75 Sialkot-IV Daska Constituency controversial.
Meanwhile, in a tweet, the Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s offer for re-polling in 20 polling stations in the NA-75 by-election is a manifestation of his struggle for ensuring free and transparent elections.
Shibli Faraz said that those who are pointing fingers at his generosity are actually opposing transparency and open ballot in the electoral process.
However, he added that their double standards have been exposed before the masses.
