HANGU: A newly elected MPA of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Farid Khan Orakzai was gunned down in Hangu’s Singair locality on Monday, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.
Police said that Farid Khan, the member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, was killed when unknown assailants opened fire at his car near his residence near Singair village in Hangu. His driver and bodyguard were injured in the incident.
Farif Khan had won the May 11 general election from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu-1 PK-42 seat as an independent candidate, and had later joined the PTI to become a member of the government in the provincial assembly.
