Last night, Pakistan blew away Hong Kong at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
When asked to bat first, Pakistan posted a gigantic score of 193 runs on the board after 20 overs.
The Captain Babar Azam again went early on 9 but the following 116 runs partnership off 81 balls between Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman and later Khushdil Shah’s onslaught helped Pakistan put up a massive total.
Rizwan scored unbeaten 78 runs, Fakhar 53 while Khushdil Shah smashed 35 runs of just 15 balls with five sixes.
In reply, none of Hong Kong’s batsmen was able to score in double-digits and the entire team was bowled out on just 38 runs. Spinners Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz picked up 4 and 3 wickets respectively. Naseem Shah took 2 wickets while Shahnawaz Dahani also grabbed 1 wicket.
Eventually, Pakistan won the match by 155 runs, and Mohammad Rizwan was awarded Played of the Match award.
