The Super 12 Round of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 is set to kick off on Saturday with the match between the Host Australia and New Zealand at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) in Sydney.
Both Australia and New Zealand were the finalists in the previous T20 World Cup held in United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2021.
Australia won the final held at Dubai International Stadium by 8 wickets, winning the title for the first time.
Head to Head: Australia won 15, New Zealand 4
Both the teams have previously been face to face 15 times in T20 Internationals from 2005 to 2021. Of them, Aussie won 15 matches whereas black caps succeeded 4 times.
In terms of triumphs at SCG, Australia won both T20Is against New Zealand held on February 15, 2009 and February 03, 2018.

Following their match, number 2 in ICC T20 Rankings England will take on Afghanistan at Perth Stadium in Perth at 04:00 pm according to Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
It will be the first T20Is between England and Afghanistan after a gap of almost six years.
England defeated Afghanistan in previous both T20Is held between them on September 21, 2012 and March 23, 2016.
These four teams are part of the Group A of the Super 12 Round along with Sri Lanka and Ireland.
