England and New Zealand featuring in Group 1 of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 will meet each other at Brisbane on Tuesday.
In Points Table, New Zealand are already atop with five points whereas England are placed third having three points.
It’s inevitable for England to win their remaining two matches in the Round to qualify for the semi-final. England suffered a huge blow when Ireland pulled off an upset against them at Melbourne on October 26.
Jos Buttler’s men won against Afghanistan at Perth on October 22 but their match against Australia slated to be held at Melbourne on October 28 was washed out. Therefore, England ceased to gain more than three points.
Whereas New Zealand were involved in two full T20Is against Australia and Sri Lanka but their match against Afghanistan was abandoned due to rain.
Head to Head in T20Is: England won 2, New Zealand 1
Both England and New Zealand have previously played 4 T20Is against each other. Of them, two matches were won by England and one by New Zealand while one T20I ended without any result.
Sri Lanka beat Afghanistan by 6 wickets
