LAHORE, Pakistan: The Pakistan-Zimbabwe ODI series will kick off on Tuesday as the two sides will play the first One Day International at the Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
The match is scheduled to begin at 04:00 pm as Pakistan Standard Time (PST) and it will be telecast live by PTV Sports Live.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already announced the squad which consists of 16 players including Muhammad Sami and Shoaib Malik for the ODI series against Zimbabwe.
The Pakistan Cricket Team will be led by right-hand middle-order batsman Azhar Ali while other members include Muhammad Hafeez, Ahmed Shehzad, Asad Shafiq, Harris Sohail, Shoaib Malik, Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Anwar Ali, Hammad Azam, Imad Wasim, Yasir Shah, Wahab Riaz, Muhammad Sami and Junaid Khan.
The two teams have so far faced each other 48 times in 50-over games but Zimbabwe has managed to win only three matches.
Currently, Pakistan is at number 9 with 3721 points in the International Cricket Council (ICC) ODI ranking while Zimbabwe is ranked at number 11 with 1250 points.
As the ICC ODI ranking shows that both teams of Pakistan and Zimbabwe could not perform well recently and both sides lost their last four matches consecutively.
It is pertinent to mention here that PTV Sports Live will telecast the first ODI between Pakistan and Zimbabwe live from the Qaddafi Stadium.
