The Super Cola Cup three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Afghanistan 2023 kicked off on Tuesday with the first One Day International (ODI) being played at Hambantota – PTV Sports Live.
It’s the fifth ODI between the two sides since February 2012. Pakistan remains unbeaten against Afghanistan so far in ODIs as in all previous four matches, the former clinched victories.
Just ahead of the first ODI, Afghanistan’s middle-order batter Najibullah Zadran sustained a knee injury and eventually was ruled out of the ODI series. Shahidullah Kamal has now been included in the Afghan squad as Zadran’s replacement.
