SHARJAH: England desires to finish its nearly two-month tour to UAE to play a bilateral series against Pakistan with the win in the last T20 game at Sharjah on Monday.

The third of the three-match T20 series is scheduled to begin at 09:00 pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

England has already won the T20 series by 2-0 following a 3-1 victory in four-match one day international (ODI) series against the home side.

In the previous two T20 matches, England beat Pakistan by 14 and 3 runs respectively. However as compared to the first game, the second T20 ended after a thrilling contest between the two teams.

England scored 172 runs in the stipulated 20 overs in the second T20 played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on November 27. In reply, Pakistan could make 169 runs, falling 3 runs short of England’s total.

If England win the series 3-0, it will jump to fourth position in the ICC T20 rankings whereas Pakistan will drop to sixth position. Currently, Pakistan is occupying the fourth position while England is placed at sixth position.
