When UAE residents will have long weekends in 2023?

In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the residents will enjoy their second break next month on the eve of Eid Al Adha after Eid Al Fitr celebrated in April 2023.

The UAE employees will have three more long breaks for the remainder of 2023 on Eid Al Adha, Hirji New Year, and to mark the birthday of Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him), as per the official announcement of the UAE holidays.

On the eve of Eid Al Adha, the Public and Private Sectors in the UAE will enjoy the holidays on Dhul Hijjah 9-12.

In the UAE, Eid Al Adha will be celebrated from June 27 (Tuesday) till July 2 (Sunday) (including the weekend). Hence, the people will enjoy a six-day break during the Festival of Sacrifice.

However, the next long break will be three days during the Hijri New Year.

To mark the new Islamic Year, the UAE government announced that July 21 (Friday) would be a public holiday, which means employees will have a three-day break including a two-day weekend.

The fourth – and the last – long break will be on September 29, 2023 (Friday) on the occasion of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), giving employees in the Country another three-day weekend.

While the holidays for UAE National Day – celebrated on December 2-3 – will be over the weekend.
