Monitoring Desk: Monitoring Desk: Public Transport in limited mode will be operational in Kyiv by May 22, reports Ukrainian News Agency.
According to Mayor of Kyiv who is also Chairman of Kyiv City State Administration (KSCA), Vitali Klitschko, the ground-based public transport will operate in a limited mode at the first stage.
“Until May 22, for sure. But we will increase the number of routes to those areas that are poorly covered today. The increase in routes will concern electric transport. And the business that will start work must resolve the issue of transportation of their employees to the place of work. The metro, as I have repeatedly said, will be opened by the decision of the government. And it will not be right away, “he said.

As Ukrainian News reported, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said that while urban transport will continue to operate in the same mode as it has recently worked, however, the mayors will decide to increase the number of transport.
Deputy Minister of Health – Chief State Sanitary Doctor Viktor Lyashko said that he will stand his ground and will not allow public transport to resume immediately since as soon as public transport is resumed, the quarantine as such will be given up.
