LAHORE: Two hundred and seventy nine (279) traffic wardens were dismissed by the government of Punjab over fraudulent activities on Sunday.
After going through a scrutiny of all documents submitted by traffic wardens across Punjab, including birth certificates, education documents, 279 were found guilty of forgery and other malpractices.
The government also registered cases against them.
On the other hand, some of the traffic wardens staged demonstration and demanded their reinstatement.
