LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab government has decided to establish a state-of-the-art Bus Terminal in Lahore.
In a meeting presided over by the Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar in Lahore on Tuesday, the performance of the Transport Department and the provision of quality transport facilities to the people were reviewed.
The meeting considered a proposal to set up a Bus Terminal Authority. It also reviewed a proposal to create a new Transport Force.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister accorded approval in principle to establish a Bus Terminal of International Standard near Thoker Niaz Baig in Lahore.
Usman Buzdar directed the Transport Department to submit the design of the Bus Terminal by December 10.
It was also decided that Bus Terminals will also be established in Faisalabad and Multan.

In addition, it was decided in the meeting that Green Electric Buses will be run in major Cities of Punjab including Lahore.
The Chief Minister directed to form a Committee to improve the performance of the Punjab Mass Transit Authority.
Likewise, an approval was given in principle for the establishment of Punjab Road Safety Authority.
