Punjab Governor & CM call on President Zardari

ISLAMABAD: Governor Punjab Makhdum Syed Ahmed Mahmud and Chief Minister Punjab Najam Sethi today called on President Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad and apprised the President about the various steps being taken to ensure holding of free‚ fair and transparent elections in the Province.
The President was also briefed on law and order situation and overall situation in the Province.
The President urged the provincial government to take every possible step to ensure free‚ fair and transparent elections in the Province and expressed hope that they would rise to the expectation of the people in this regard.
