LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab government has decided to suspend mobile phone services in Model Town and surrounding areas of Lahore on Saturday for 24 hours.
The decision was taken on Friday during a ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif which finalized security arrangements for the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Youm-e-Shuda scheduled for August 10.
The provincial government also made a decision to vacate the grounds surrounding the Minhaj-ul-Quran Secretariat.
