SHEIKHUPURA, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the Campus of Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) is being established in Lahore.
Speaking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony of various development projects costing approximately Rs 50 billion in Sharqpur on Saturday, the prime minister said that the route of Lahore Metro Bus will be extended from Shahdra to Kala Shah Kaku.

The projects he laid the foundation stone for include;
- 19 kilometers long Lahore Bypass connecting Kala Shah Kaku to Lahore-Karachi Motorway
- Expansion project of Lahore-Karachi Motorway up to Sigian Road and Main Ravi Bridge
- Esaan Sharkpur Interchange at Abdul Hakim Motorway
- Scout College in Sheikhupura
The prime minister said that the inauguration of the expansion project of Lahore-Karachi Motorway up to Sigian Road and Main Ravi Bridge will facilitate the traffic of Lahore, save fuel and create employment opportunities.
Shahbaz Sharif that this is the era of Information Technology and the government is taking concrete measures for promotion of IT culture in the country. He said that progress in the Agriculture Sector will head the Country towards progress and development.
Also, he said that despite the critical situation the national economy is heading towards the right trajectory.
