ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan foresees its betterment in a peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
While addressing a ceremony at the Institute of Strategic Studies (ISS) in Islamabad on Thursday, Qureshi said that Pakistan is very clear in its objective with regard to a peaceful Afghanistan.
The foreign minister said that there will be challenges on the road to peace and prosperity that needs to be overcome jointly. He said that prosperity of Pakistan is possible if there is peace and tranquility in Afghanistan.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan and Afghanistan stood by each other through thick and thin and shared grief of each other. He said that both Pakistan and Afghanistan have common agenda of peace, and the people of both the Countries also want better relations between the two Countries.
Furthermore, he said that both the Countries have to look for the future of coming generations.
