ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Rain-thunderstorm (snowfall over the hills) is expected at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA), Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while cold and dry weather to persist in other parts of the country.
Rainfall is forecast in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad, upper FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, however, dense foggy conditions are likely to prevail over plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and upper Sindh during night and morning hours.
Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A shallow westerly wave is present over upper parts of the country, an official of Met office told the state-run news agency.
In last 24 hours weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills occurred at isolated places in Malakand and Hazara divisions
Dense foggy conditions prevailed over most plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh.
Rainfall recorded during this time span remained Dir 3mm, Mirkhani 2mm, Balakot 1mm and Drosh 1mm.
