ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected at isolated places of Upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan in next 24 hours while hot and dry weather to prevail in other parts of the country.
Rainfall is forecast in Rawalpindi, Malakand, Hazara divisions, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country.
A shallow westerly wave lies over Kashmir and its adjoining areas, an official of Met office told APP.
In last 24 hours weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country.
Maximum temperatures recorded on Monday remained Bhakkar, Noorpur Thal, Sh. Benazirabad, Sukkur 41øC, Rohri, Dadu 40øC,  Peshawar, Faisalabad 37øC, Multan, Islamabad, Lahore 36øC, Quetta 35øC, Muzaffarabad, Chitral, Hyderabad 34øC, Dir, Gilgit 33øC, Karachi 32øC, Kalat 30øC, Skardu 29øC, Hunza 28øC and Murree 23øC.
