ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Rain/dust-thundershower with isolated downpour accompanied by windstorm is expected at scattered places in upper region of the country during next 24 hours whereas drizzle in Sindh coast including Karachi.

Rainfall is likely at Upper Punjab, Upper KP, Islamabad, FATA and Kashmir while at isolated places in Multan and Sahiwal divisions.

Seasonal low lies over North Balochistan. A shallow westerly wave is still affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist during next 24-36 hours. Monsoon currents from Arabian sea are continuously penetrating central and upper parts of the country and likely to continue during next couple of days, Met office told APP.

In last 24 hours weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country. However isolated Rain/ dust- thundershower occurred in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Malakand, Hazara divisions and Kashmir.

Rainfall recorded during last 24 hours remained Noorpur thal 69mm, Jhang 34mm, Murree 33mm, M.B.Din 27mm, T.T.Singh 19mm, Islamabad (Bokra 19mm, Golra and Z.P 02mm) Sargodha 12mm, Rawalpindi (Chaklala 08mm, Shamsabad 04mm), Bahawalnagr 06mm, Faisalabad 05mm, Lahore (city 04mm, A/P 04mm), Johrabad 02mm, Malamjabba 21mm, Parachinar 06mm, Balakot and Saidu Sharif 03mm, Rawalakot 08mm, Garhi Dupatta 07mm and Kotli 05mm.

Highest maximum temperatures recorded on Saturday was Dalbandin 49øC, Nokkundi 48øC, Panjgur 46øC, Rohri 45øC, Islamabad 39øC, Lahore 39øC, Karachi 31øC, Peshawar 41øC, Quetta 40øC, Gilgit 36øC, Chitral 36øC, Hunza 30øC, Muzaffarabad 37øC, Murree 25øC, Skardu 32øC, Faisalabad 39øC, Multan 40øC, Hyderabad 37øC, Dir 35øC and Kalat 34øC.
