RAIWIND, Pakistan: The three-day Raiwind Tableeghi Ijtema 2020 will kick off on November 6 with protective measures against COVID-19 to ensure the participants’ safety against the virus.
In the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, a definite number of participants will join the religious gathering i.e. not more than 9,600 people will be allowed to participate in the Ijtema from Karachi and Peshawar each.
Likewise, up to 6,000 people each from Lahore, Swat, Multan, Dera Ismail Khan, and Balochistan will participate while Faisalabad will have the representation with 4,800 faithful.
As part of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) devised to mitigate the COVID-19 impact, no one will be allowed to enter the gathering place (Ijtema Gah) in an individual capacity.
Prior to entering the Ijtema Gah, participants from the above-mentioned areas will receive a special paper from Raiwind, on which each preaching group will write the names of its members along with their CNIC numbers.
Each participant must be wearing a face mask and have the original CNIC.
All the facilities including canteens will be arranged inside the premises; therefore, once entered, no one will be allowed to exit before the final prayer (dua) on October 8.
In addition to that, a certain distance will be maintained between each participant inside the Ijtema Gah, either he listens to the sermon while sitting or lays down to sleep.
