NEW DELHI: Rajiv Shukla has resigned as the Chairman of the Indian Premiere League (IPL) in the wake of recent controversies over the spot-fixing scandal, Indian media reported.
“I took the decision to quit in view of the recent controversies. I also took into account Sanjay Jagdale and Ajay Shirke’s resignation before taking the decision,” Rajiv Shukla said.
Rajiv Shukla is the third high profile official to resign in the last 24 hours, after BCCI secretary Sanjay Jagdale and treasurer Ajay Shirke, as the fallout of the IPL corruption scandal continues to build.
