Story Line
Raqs-e-Bismil starts with a scene where Musa forcefully stops the love marriage of his milk sister- Sakina. Here Pakistani culture, which frets upon love marriages, is depicted in arranging a marriage for Sakina by her uncle without her consent later on. Musa falls in love with Zohra, at first sight, who apparently looks like a religious girl as he wished. But, Zohra reveals her reality of being an escort. The reality reveal entails arresting Musa as he misbehaves with Zohra. But the police releases him. Unable to relieve himself of thoughts about Zohra, he bribes her mother for a meeting. Zohra disparages him for having matrimonial arrangements under the garb of meeting.
Sakina, still in contact with his lover (Isa), escapes her marriage. Consequently, she hides in Isa’s friends’ place, where Musa intercepts by killing them as they attempt to rape her. Musa gets arrested. While Zohra marries Shahryar. Actually, his express purpose was to offer her to his contacts as a deal.
The police release Musa as the victims survived and become a bodyguard of an actress, Laila. By chance, she becomes a means for meeting both Zohra and Musa again. He saves her from Malik’s friend attempting to rape her, thereby rekindling love in her heart. Laila’s husband alleges Musa of murdering his wife, which turns out to be wrong. She tries to unite Both Musa and Zohra. Shahriyar divorces Zohra and under some fascinating circumstances, both of them unite ultimately in the denouement of Raqs-e-Bismil.
