ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: While foiling a major terror bid in Islamabad, the Security forces have arrested five terrorists allegedly sponsored by Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), the Indian spy agency.
Sources said that on a tip-off, the Security forces raided an area in the Jurisdiction of Lohi Bher Police Station in the Federal Capital and apprehended five terrorists.
The Security forces also recovered heavy cache of weapons from the possession of nabbed terrorists. Likewise, anti-tank mines and other dangerous weapons were also recovered.
Sources said that the arrested terrorists told while interrogation that they were receiving support from the Afghan intelligence agency National Directorate of Security (NDS) and RAW. They told that they had devised a plan to carry out terror attacks in Islamabad on last Friday of ongoing Ramazan, the Holy Month of Fasting.
The involvement of Indian and Afghan intelligence agencies in terrorist-related activities in Pakistan has no longer been concealed now especially after apprehended RAW agent Kulbhushan Jadhav admitted to such offenses.
