ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister for Defence and the head of negotiation team representing the government in talks with the Joint Opposition Pervaiz Khattak on Friday invited the opposition to come to the dialogue table for the sake of democracy, Constitution, and law in the Country.
Responding to a point of order raised by the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in the National Assembly, Pervez Khattak said the opposition talked of democracy and law but it wasn’t ready to sit on the dialogue table to sort out issues.
The minister said the people of Pakistan had rejected the opposition parties in 2018 general elections and they should have accepted the voters’ verdict.
