ISLAMABAD: Riots started between Christians and Muslims in Gujranwala, Punjab Pakistan in the area of Francisabad that is on Khayali–Shekhupura Road. Police reached the spot and managed to disperse mob by using firing in the air and use of tear gas. Deputy Commissioner and CCPO also reached the spot.
According to details, a misunderstanding and fight among children of Muslims and christian communities ignited the situation. District administration is trying to start dialogue between fighting groups and firing has been stopped.
CCPO Gujranwala has suspended four police officials who apparently failed to control the situation.
