ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) requires around Rs 25 million for recreational development projects in Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, an official of the PTDC said.
“PTDC projects in Azad Jammu and Kashmir would require cost of around Rs 25 million while a tourist facilitation centre in Gilgit-Baltistan would cost around Rs 20 million,” an PTDC official said while talking to the state-run news agency.
The official said that as per tourists demands, the early completion of recreational development projects in both regions are on priority basis.
The PTDC official said that the under construction projects located in Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Gwadar, Quetta, Karachi and Moenjodaro would help revive tourism sector in the Country.
“Tourist facilitation centre at Quetta would be developed at a cost of Rs 20 million, and extension in Moenjodaro Motel would require cost of Rs 15 million,” he said.
Moreover, he said that the PTDC tourist facilitation centre at Karachi will need Rs 15 million and a sum of Rs 30 million has been allocated for the establishment of motel at Swat.
