LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab Minister for Special Education Asif Saeed Manhais has said that state-of-the-art rehabilitation centres are being set up at a cost of Rs 724 million for disabled persons.
He stated this while addressing a departmental meeting held here on Tuesday.
The minister said that Rs 64 million had been allocated for establishment of 13 government special education centres while Rs 195 million were for up-gradation of government special education high school to higher secondary.
He said another Rs 195 million had been allocated for the up-gradation of government school of special education for hearing impaired Sheikhupura from higher to higher secondary level.
The minister said these projects were in progress and completed within given time frame. He said after the completion of these projects a large number of special students would be able to get quality education and training.
