SIBI, Pakistan: The Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Thursday inaugurated the Sibi to Harnai Railway Track Restoration Project.
Saad Rafique were accompanied by the Chief Minister Balochistan Sanaullah Zehri and the Provincial Interior Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti at the inauguration.
The railways minister also inspected the different parts Sibi railway station and reviewed the construction work.
The 134-kilometer long railway track has been completed with the cost of Rs 2.4 million.
The railway track had been damaged in 2006 as a result of a terrorist attack.
Earlier while addressing a news conference along with Sanaullah Zehri in Quetta, Saad Rafique said that land has been acquired to establish Railway station in Gwadar.
Saad Rafique said that Sibi-Harnai railway track is near to completion and will be inaugurated in March next year. He said that repair work on Quetta-Zahidan track will begin soon to restore passenger train service on the route.
The minister said that day is not far when the largest rail network of the Country will be in Balochistan.
