NewsSan Bernardino shooting: Tashfeen Malik was a Pakistani?

LOS ANGELES, United States: The 27-year-old Tashfeen Malik, who was shot dead after she along with her alleged husband carried out a mass shooting at a social services center in Southern California, was a Pakistani or Pakistani origin, according to sources privy to the development.

However, their claim has not been confirmed yet and her identity remains uncertain.

A group of two persons including 28-year-old Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik had reportedly a dispute with someone at the Inland Regional Center in Bernardino, and later they opened fire there which eventually caused deaths to at least 14 persons and injuries to over a dozen others.

Later, both Farook and Tashfeen got killed in an exchange of fire with police.

Earlier police thought that three persons were involving in the attack but later restricted to two.

In a press conference, the San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan said that police no longer believed a third suspect was at large, adding that the shooters were wearing military like uniformed.

“We’re pretty comfortable that the two shooters that went into the building are the two shooters deceased on San Bernardino Avenue,” Burguan said.

Burguan said that Farook was a US citizen and was working as a county employee. He added that Farook has worked for five years as an environmental specialist in the public health department.

Farook’s brother-in-law Farhan Khan claimed that they both had married to each other, adding that he had no idea what motive they had behind doing so…

“Why would he do that? Why would he do something like this? I have absolutely no idea, I am in shock myself,” Khan said at a news conference in Anaheim, according to AP.

Meanwhile, Farook’s co-worker Patrick Baccari told that Syed Rizwan Farook went to Saudi Arabia earlier this year and when he came back, he had a wife, Tashfeen Malik. Later, they also had a baby girl.

Baccari said that Farook also grew out his beard several months ago; however, he showed no signs of unusual behavior.
