ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz will visit Bahrain on Saturday to represent Pakistan in the 12th Regional Security Summit: The IISS Manama Dialogue, being held from December 9 to 11, 2016.

More than 20 counties are participating in ‘The Manama Dialogu’, being organized jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain and British think tank, International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS).

The IISS Manama Dialogue is organised annually, and it provides a forum for the national security establishments of the participating states to exchange views on regional security challenges.

The Crown Prince of Bahrain His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa will inaugurate the event.

Besides ministerial level participation from several important countries, leading international opinion makers, experts, heads of organizations, and international media will also take part in Manama Dialogue.

Sartaj Aziz will be a keynote speaker at The Manama Dialogue on December 11. He will present Pakistan’s perspective on prevailing and emerging security challenges facing the region and the world at large.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Bahrain Javed Malik would be organizing the adviser’s bilateral meetings with the Foreign Minister of Bahrain Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmad Al Khalifa and Ministers of other countries including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and Canada among others.

Sartaj Aziz will also meet the Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
