ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday accepted former President Pervez Mushrraf’s bail plea in a case pertaining to veteran Baloch politician Nawab Akber Bugti’s murder.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk and comprising Justice Sarmad Jalal Usmani and Justice Musheer Aalam was hearing the case.
During the proceedings, Musharraf’s lawyer Ibrahim Satti told the bench that his client was on judicial remand for last six and half months.
Satti further said that some 45 life threats have been given to Pervez Musharraf who has been put under house arrest at his Chak Shahzad farmhouse.
The bench later accepted the bail plea and directed the former President to submit two surety bonds of one million rupees each with Deputy Registrar of the court.
